Jackie Helms, FNP-C is a certified family nurse practitioner who specializes in hematology at the Bleeding and Clotting Disorders Institute (BCDI). She was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois, graduating from Peoria Notre Dame High School. She attended Illinois Central College where she played soccer and completed her nursing pre-requisite courses. In 2012, she graduated with a bachelor’s in science and nursing from Methodist College of Nursing. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Jackie worked as a RN at Saint Francis Medical Center of Peoria for five years on the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, which at that time she worked towards her Master of Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Chamberlain College of Nursing. She graduated in June 2016 and began her nurse practitioner career at BCDI in October 2016.
