Becky Burns joined the Bleeding & Clotting Disorders Institute in March 2016 and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of the Corporation. Becky has over 15 years of not-for-profit accounting and management experience. In her role, Becky oversees the business and 340B pharmacy operations of BCDI. Becky is a passionate advocate for the bleeding disorders community and specializes in access to care issues our community faces.

Becky is currently involved in many groups within the bleeding disorders space. She serves as an advisor to the Comprehensive Care Sustainability Collaborative of the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation; a group committed to working together to lower the financial cost of care for bleeding disorders patients, ensuring access to care and the sustainability of the hemophilia treatment center comprehensive care model. Becky was also recently elected the Vice Chair of the Hemophilia Alliance where she has served on the Board of Directors since 2021 and chairs its Payer Subcommittee. Becky is highly involved with the Bleeding Disorders Alliance of Illinois, where she sits on the Advocacy Committee. Becky is widely regarded as an expert with insurance, payer issues and 340B pharmacy policy operations.
