The Bleeding & Clotting Disorders Institute is delighted to announce we are transitioning to a new EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system! This new system, named PrognoCIS, has been meticulously researched and customized to meet the specific needs of BCDI as a Hemophilia Treatment Center of Excellence. The PrognoCIS EMR will not only improve BCDI’s commitment to providing optimal comprehensive care, but most importantly will improve experiences for you: our patients!

This move is designed to improve BCDI’s efficiency, accuracy and ultimately elevate the overall patient care experience. All of BCDI’s current medical records will be securely transitioned to the new system, and BCDI will still be available for all your healthcare needs during this implementation.

The go-live transition for our new PrognoCIS EMR will begin May 28, 2024. It is important to note that during this time, BCDI patients may notice minor technical difficulties when the new system is launched. We sincerely ask for your patience with the entire BCDI staff as we continue to learn and implement the new system.

Alongside the new PrognoCIS EMR, BCDI patients will gain access to a brand-new online patient portal in the near future. The BCDI online patient portal will not be available during the May 28 go-live, but stay tuned in the following months for more details. The BCDI online portal will allow our patients 24/7 access to crucial medical information, including but not limited to:

  • Checking status of scheduled appointments
  • Reviewing lab results
  • Requesting a prescription refill
  • Completing medical history forms
  • Viewing messages sent by the clinic

If you have any questions or concerns during this process, we ask that you call the BCDI office at 309-692-5337. Our BCDI team will make sure you are updated throughout the new EMR process on our website at www.ilbcdi.org and on our social media platforms, which you can find below. Thank you for your support of BCDI and for your patience through this transition- we look forward to strengthening our promise of providing the highest level of integrated, family-oriented care, treatment and education for individuals with bleeding, blood clotting and other blood disorders!
