BCDI’s nurse coordinators and clinical support staff serve as the main communication link between the various clinical providers. When you call our amazing nurse coordinators and clinical support staff, they will assist with your questions, communicate lab results and treatment plans, and ensure all members of the care team are updated on your condition. In clinic, you will find them taking vitals, assisting providers with capturing care plans in the medical record, and assisting with dosing of needed medications including clotting factor. Our Nurse Educator is also available for in-services with your school or employer to help them better understand how to work with your bleeding disorder.
Together, this team helps prevent gaps in patient care, assists in patients accessing the care they need preventing unnecessary hospital and emergency department visits. The nurse coordinators and clinical support staff provide a valuable service to patients, their family and the care time by working collaboratively with the patient and help them achieve goals and improve overall health.
