Nichole Swango, APRN, FNP-BC

Nichole is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Methodist College and her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University.

Prior to joining BCDI, Nichole gained experience in hematology and oncology at Illinois CancerCare and worked at OSF HealthCare. She initially joined BCDI as a Nurse Coordinator, where working alongside a highly knowledgeable and collaborative team inspired her to further her education and pursue a career as a Nurse Practitioner.

Nichole has developed a strong interest in the management of bleeding and clotting disorders and enjoys the clinical complexity and ongoing advancements within the specialty. She particularly values BCDI’s commitment to collaboration and continuing education, both of which have played an important role in her professional growth.

Outside of work, Nichole enjoys spending time with her daughter, Kyla, and their Maltipoo, Bentley. She loves watching Kyla play sports, traveling, working out, shopping, spending time at the lake, and cheering on her favorite Chicago sports teams. Having lived in four countries, she also enjoys exploring new places and experiencing different cultures.
