Education and advocacy are at the heart of BCDI’s mission of providing integrated, family-oriented care to individuals and families with bleeding, blood clotting and other blood disorders. Because of that commitment, BCDI hosts a Family Day event every year to provide free education to our community!
BCDI Family Day 2024 will take place Saturday, July 20 at the Bleeding and Clotting Disorders Institute campus at 427 W Northmoor Rd, Peoria, IL 61614. More details regarding the schedule and agenda of the event are forthcoming, but here is the basic information:
– WHAT: BCDI Family Day 2024!
– WHO: For all BCDI patients and their close family members (everyone in your party attends for FREE).
– WHERE: BCDI’s campus at 427 W. Northmoor Road, Peoria, IL 61614.
– WHEN: Event registration begins at 10:45 a.m. Family Day programming with education, games and lunch provided begins at 11 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m.
– WHY: To provide crucial education to bleeding and clotting disorders patients and their families, and to strengthen the relationships within our community.
Patients of BCDI and their family members can attend Family Day free of charge and are encouraged to sign up! Family Day guests will be treated to specialized education from the expert BCDI staff, including hematologists and members of the comprehensive care team. Family Day 2024 is carnival themed, as fun games and activities will be provided for guests of all ages! Lunch will also be served, and childcare will be provided for children by the BCDI staff. The inaugural bcdi golf outing
The inaugural BCDI Golf Outing will be held on Thursday August 29, 2024, at Mt. Hawley Country Club in Peoria, Illinois! The BCDI Golf Outing is a charity event and will help raise crucial funds that will benefit the BCDI Foundation, including improvements to patient program services and the Green Family Scholarship Fund.
Registration is now open! A group foursome of golfers is $600, or if you would like to register as an individual the price is $150. Alongside an exciting day of golf at one of central Illinois’ premier golf courses at Mt. Hawley Country Club, each participant will also get:
o Access to raffle baskets.
o Contests, games, prizes or giveaways at each hole.
o Lunch will be provided during the round of golf.
o Award ceremony with prizes and heavy hors d’oeuvres immediately following the round.
o Opportunities to network with BCDI staff members.

Welcome to the Bleeding & Clotting Disorders Institute’s annual Family Day event! This year, Family Day will be held on Sunday, August 27 at Dozer Park, the home of Peoria Chiefs minor league baseball! Family Day is exclusive to BCDI patients and their families, and is 100% free to attend! Family Day guests will be treated to education from the BCDI staff, fun games and activities for all ages, lunch will be provided and tickets to a minor league baseball game is also included! Care will be provided for children. Here are the details for Family Day 2023:
WHAT- BCDI Family Day 2023!
WHO- For BCDI patients and their family members.
WHERE- Dozer Park- 730 SW Jefferson Ave, Peoria, IL 61605.
WHEN- Registration begins at 9:30am, educational programs from 10am – noon, lunch served from noon through 1pm, baseball game between Peoria Chiefs and West Michigan.
WHY- To provide education to bleeding and clotting disorder patients at BCDI and to strengthen the relationships with our patients and the community.
