Advanced Practice Providers

At BCDI, our Advanced Practice Providers have specialized experience in treating patients with bleeding and clotting disorders. Our Advanced Practice Provider team includes Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants who have received training specifically in treating patients with bleeding and clotting disorders.

Nurse Practitioners

BCDI Nurse Practitioners (NPs) work hand-in-hand with BCDI hematologists. NPs are nurses with a graduate degree in advanced practice nursing and are responsible for performing examinations, ordering lab tests, taking patients’ medical histories and much more.

Physician Assistants

BCDI Physician Assistants (PAs) are medical providers who are licensed to diagnose and treat illness and disease and to prescribe medication for patients. PAs are versatile and collaborative with the entire BCDI team. BCDI’s PAs are a talented group of individuals who play an integral role in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and communication.
